19th April 1814 – Campaign Diary


Campaign Map
First French and Prussian battle of Waremme
Second French and Russian manoeuvre
Third French and Austrian end of Nancy phase
Fourth French and Bavarian end of Besancon phase
Fifth French and British break contact after battle
Sixth French and Spanish battle of Vic

First French and Prussian Army
13th Polish corps is isolated behind enemy lines
19th French corps attack Waremme to allow them to return to French lines
Prussian - 16000 infantry, 2000 cavalry and 60 guns
French - 25200 infantry, 2000 cavalry and 60 guns
The Prussians win and 13th Polish corps is forced to surrender
As a result the French lose the Hasselt phase of the campaign
Second French and Russian Army
                                                Both armies manoeuvre for advantage
Fourth French and Bavarian Army
Bavarian Army surrenders
French win Besancon campaign phase

Fifth French and British Army
Both armies break contact after battle

Sixth French and Spanish Army
4th Spanish and 12th French both have orders to attack Vic
Spanish- 20000 infantry and 30 guns
French - 12000 infantry, 1000 cavalry and 30 guns
French win, Spanish retreat towards Balsareny
