Marmont and Wrede race to occupy Rougemont
Wellington accepts defeat in the Tolosa campaign
Giron defeats Suchet in the second day of the battle of Matro

4 Prussian corps - 11200 infantry, 1000 cavalry, 30 guns
7 French corps            - 13600 infantry, 1000 cavalry, 30 guns
Prussians lost and retreat towards Heerlen
Second French and Russian Army
Encounter battle at Bad Kreuznach
Russian - 39600 infantry, 4000 cavalry, 120 guns
French - 54400 infantry, 3900 cavalry, 120 guns
French lost and retreat towards Oberstein
Also abandon their supply depot at Bad Kreuznach

Austrian surprise attack at Cirey

Fourth French and Bavarian Army
Both armies race to occupy Rougemont
The leading cavalry  brigades fight an inconclusive melee there
But the leading corps arrive too late to fight a battle.
